American Girl Fashion Show is a fun-filled event for girls and their families, friends, and favorite dolls! Celebrate the experience of being a girl, whether yesterday or today, through a colorful presentation of historical and contemporary fashions. Enjoy an elegant meal, enter to win door prizes, and learn how clothing has changed over the years to reflect history, culture, and girls’ individual styles.
Not recommended for children under five. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Proceeds will benefit Project Bloom.

Project Bloom Goes to School:

August, 2009: Due to the success of the First Ward Pilot, Project Bloom will be introduced into two new schools for the 2009-2010 school year. We are excited to partner with the faculty and staff of Tuckaseegeee Elementary Schools and Rocky River Elementary School (Cabarrus County)!
January, 2009: Project Bloom has partnered with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools to introduce twelve third-fifth grade girls at the First Ward School to its Be Prepared and Beautiful You programs. Hand-selected by First Ward's Principal, April Butler, the students will receive a comprehensive overview of the Project Bloom fundamentals over the second half of the school year.

Virginia Owens, mother of Bloom Girl, AO, has brought Project Bloom to a group of students at T.T. Minor Elementary School in Seattle Washington. Focusing on such topics as Real Beauty, Body Basics, Healthy Eating, Mood Makeovers, and Etiquette, Project Bloom Seattle represents our first effort towards a national campaign to get our girls blooming. |
