Every girl deserves to feel like a princess at some time in her life. These experiences create hope for the "happily ever after." Each year, a group of high-school seniors will receive the royal treatment in time for their own prom. The girls first participate in an essay contest, where they share some way in which they are overcoming adversity. The writers of the most compelling essays are selected to receive full prom makeovers, tickets, and transportation. The transformations are nothing short of fabulous.
May 3, 2008 - Four underprivileged girls from a Charlotte High School traded in their casual spring attire for the most elaborate makeover they could have ever imagined.
This was the third year the foundation has hosted this event. Through the "How Can I Make a Difference in My Community?" essay contest, the girls received complimentary formal wear, jewelry, hairstyling, makeup, nails, prom tickets, and transportation, courtesy of Project Bloom.
When local business heard about the program they wanted to contribute too! We received discounts and donations from, A Perfect 10 Nail Salon, Silver Fox Limousines, Charlotte Omni Hotel, Nordstom, and Jessica McClintock and Hair Passion by Celest.
